Problem Solving |
We do much more than just bill ... We solve problems. Medical billing, especially electronic billing, is the easy part. We watch for correct coding to make sure you stay within the letter and spirit of all CMS laws, rules and regulations. Additionally, three levels of edits - our professional billers, our own software edits, and our electronic clearinghouse edits, insure that errors are caught before they reach the insurer. Our management monitors changes in regulations, changing insurance practices, and recent court cases that might impact your reimbursement.
Reimbursement success is primarily a matter of...
Timely and frequent contact with insurers.
| |
Constant follow up is the key to maximizing reimbursement. We speak to over 70 health insurers regularly. We understand the process, and know the proper procedures if a claim is denied.

Claim denials... Even with three levels of edits, sometimes claims are denied. After
fourteen years, we often understand the rules better than the insurance company. Denials are immediately followed up,
and, if necessary, appealed. Often, only additional explanation is needed. Sometimes doctor's notes or other clarification may be requested.
This part of the process is usually invisible to our clients. We know what needs to be done, and we do it. Complete documentation of every contact made with the insurance company is always maintained. ______________________ Comprehensive reports... At the beginning of each month, every client receives a set of management reports, along with their statement. These reports detail payments issued by each insurance carrier, and how they were applied to each patient account. Copies of each check received by Symco are included. Other reports reflect the increase or decrease in receivables, amount of charges billed, and problem accounts. Symco's management will regularly inform you of accounts where special action or decisions may be required. Our comprehensive software allows us to prepare customized reports based upon the physician's particular requirements.
